VITRAN delivers essential monthly grocery kits to families living on the edge of hunger so children can focus on studies instead of survival.

About VITRAN VITRAN (meaning “distribution”) is Sacred Foundation’s nutrition security initiative. Every month we distribute balanced grocery kits to families in slums and rural areas who struggle to put food on the table.

What’s Inside One Grocery Kit?

– 10 kg Rice

– 5 kg Dal (lentils)

– 2 litres Cooking Oil

– 2 kg Atta / Wheat flour

– Spices, sugar, salt, tea

– Seasonal vegetables & nutrition supplements for children

– Soap & basic hygiene items

The Challenge

Rising food inflation has made it difficult for daily-wage families to afford even basic meals. Malnutrition affects children’s physical and mental growth, leading to poor academic performance and health issues.

Our Approach

– Monthly distribution in identified high-need areas

– Prioritize families with school-going children and single mothers

– Partner with local self-help groups for transparent distribution

– Combine food support with nutrition awareness workshops
