SAKSHAM – Women Empowerment & Skill Development
When a Woman Rises, a Family Rises
SAKSHAM equips women with skills, confidence, and opportunities so they can become financially independent and inspiring leaders in their communities.
About SAKSHAM
SAKSHAM (meaning “capable”) is our comprehensive women empowerment initiative. We believe that educating and empowering a woman creates a ripple effect that uplifts entire families and communities.
What We Offer
– Vocational training (tailoring, beautician, handicrafts, digital skills, food processing)
– Financial literacy & micro-enterprise training
– Life skills, confidence building & leadership workshops
– Market linkages and help in starting small businesses
– Health & nutrition awareness for women and girls
The Challenge
Many women in rural and urban slums are trapped in cycles of dependency, domestic violence, and lack of opportunities. Lack of skills and financial knowledge keeps them from achieving their potential.

We run 3–6 month training batches in partnership with local community centres. Every woman receives:
– Free training + raw materials
– Certification upon completion
– Seed capital / tool-kit support for top performers
– Ongoing mentorship for the first year
Impact
– Women who complete the program earn ₹8,000–₹18,000 per month within 6–12 months
– Many have started successful home-based businesses
– Daughters of SAKSHAM women are more likely to continue education
Ways to Support
– Sponsor a woman’s full training program (₹15,000–₹25,000)
– Donate sewing machines, laptops, or raw materials
– Corporate CSR partnerships for large-scale batches
– Volunteer as a trainer or mentor
